Your Glencoe & Fort William Tour starts from Edinburgh or Glasgow, ensuring a great start your chauffeur will do a full introduction and point out all the on-board facilities in the vehicle. Your tour continues North passing through Callander and into the Trossachs National Park, with stunning landscapes and Lochs to admire the drive will fly by.
The First stop of the tour is at the Falls of Dochart at Killin, located at the western end of Loch Tay. The Falls cascade over the rocks around the island of Inchbuie, which is the ancient burial place of the MacNab clan and a great place for a photo.
You leave Killin and make your way through Crianlarich and head north towards Glencoe, while en-route enjoy the breathtaking beauty of our mountain peaks rivers and waterfalls.
Arrive in Glencoe, visit the Glencoe Visitors Centre and enjoy a stroll and learn about the historic MacDonald clan that resided here and suffered in the massacre of 1692. More recently Glencoe was the backdrop of the Harry Potter films, with Hagrids Hut and the bridge to Nowhere sat just across the road from the Clachaig Inn.
After your stop at Glencoe you can either make your way to Fort William for some lunch and a walk round, or carry on to the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge. Fort William is a major tourist town located close to Glencoe and is the start or end of the West Highland Way, the Commando Memorial was opened in 1952 and was designated as a listed structure in 1971 a fine monument in a magnificent setting.
Now it is time to start your journey back towards Edinburgh, it is a long drive so the driver can schedule stops on the way for comfort breaks and to stretch those legs with The Green Welly Shop at Crianlarich, Loch Lubnaig and Stirling all on the route home. Finally passing the Kelpies on the home leg back into Edinburgh.
